In memory of Summer Rose
Summer was such a beautiful child and she left a lot of broken hearts behind. In the evening of the 19th May I sat and wondered what Summer would say to us if she could.....
Karen and I would like to say a special thank you to all the staff and friends we have made from SOFT, for all their caring words and thoughts through these hard times, as well as all the midwives, nurses and the doctors who took the time out to care for Summer at Southend Hospital. These words were read out at Summer's funeral by Martin, someone both Karen and myself would like to call a good friend, we hope you like Summer’s Song.
SUMMERS SONG
Please don’t think of me as leaving
Please don’t feel that I have gone
You have given me time so important
That I will cherish forever more
Please don’t worry where I’m going
Please don’t think you will forget
You have filled my heart with love
With dream’s and happiness
I have family where I’m going
To play to run to smile
I am sad for what I’m leaving
My family without their child
You know how much I love you
My mum, my dad, my family
The hearts that I have touched
The friends that I have made
I started as a dream
A dream I was pleased to be
A child, a miracle, a someone
My life it is complete
Please don’t cry for I am passing
Please don’t think I will forget
You gave my life a meaning
Full of memories of my family and my friends.
You are all for Summer for SOFT
Please don’t think I will forget
You gave my life a meaning
Full of memories of my family and my friends
